Alaska Inside Passage Cruise Pictures
Photographing the Inside Passage in Alaska for over 12 years has been a wonderful experience. Throughout our time on our small boat cruise ship we have experienced some of the most exhilarating moments that only Alaska can provide… Some we’ve captured on camera and some moments left us frozen in awe of the nature unfolding in front of us.
Here is a video of some of the most incredible photographs that we’ve been able to capture of the Inside Passage:
Our cruises throughout the Inside Passage typically go from Juneau, Alaska to Petersburg, Alaska and vice versa.
Our route and itinerary allow us to visit everything Alaska has to offer, from Glaciers, Whales, Steller sea lions, sea kayaking, birding and one of our favorites… shrimping and crabbing.
Alaska is so diverse with it’s landscape and wildlife that only a small ship cruise can allow you to have an up-close and personal experience with the best that Alaska can provide.
The images in the video above showcase just how close you can get to icebergs, sea lions, waterfalls and orca whales!
While we respect the animals and their natural habitat, we can’t control if the wildlife checks us out to get a closer look. We’ve had orca whales swim right under our boat and surface only to spray those on-board with water as they exhale.
The Inside Passage is located along Alaska’s southeastern panhandle and has over 1,000 islands and 15,000 miles of shoreline. While it is the most popular cruising destination in Alaska, it’s so vast that a small cruise ship can easily get away for an intimate escape.
Because there are so many islands, boats are protected from the harsh winds of the Pacific ocean which leaves the waters calm and fun to get out and photograph.
